March madness starts on the 16th of March with the opening game between the two teams 64th and the 65th seeded teams. The play in game helps to choose the team which will play in the tournament. The first thirty teams qualify by winning the conference tournaments and the rest 35 are selected by the NCAA selection commission. The selection Sunday will on the14th of March 2010. The qualified teams are the following. Butler from the Horizon League, Cornell from Ivy League, East Tennessee from Atlantic Sun, Montana from Big sky conference, Murray state from Ohio Valley, North Texas from Sun Belt, Robert Morris from North east Conference, Saint Mary’s from West Coast, Siena from Metro Atlantic, Oakland from The Summit League Conference, Old Dominion from Colonial, Big South from Winthrop and Wofford from Southern Conference. 35 teams will be selected by the NCAA committee and the rest will qualify by winning the conference round. The first and second round games will be played in the first weekend after the opening match on the Tuesday 16th of March.
